Groundworks runs on plant, labour and tickets: machines hired by the day, gangs moving between jobs, and delivery and muck-away tickets that reach the office a week late. We build phone-first systems for civil engineering and groundworks contractors that capture it all on site, exactly as our own group runs plant and site records on its solar and battery storage builds.

Already running on our own sites
Our sister company William Hynes Energistics builds solar farms and battery storage, with the plant, labour and ground conditions that come with them. These systems run on its sites today.
- One register covers owned and hired plant by site and supplier, with each machine's checks, maintenance, hours and who had it. Hired plant that has sat idle for two working days is flagged for off-hire.
- Each site confirms its plant list once a week, so the register matches what is really on the ground.
- Site managers photograph the weekly paper timesheet and the system reads every name and hour, matches people to the workforce list and totals hours by person, site and week. Anything unclear waits for a person to check.
- Site teams raise material requests with photos and priorities, the buying team orders and records supplier and cost, and a weekly procurement matrix replaces the buying spreadsheet with deliveries by supplier and site and spend to date.
- We hold a library of 74 inspection and test plan templates for solar and battery storage work, with hold, witness and review points, which you can edit or extend.
