Software for renewable energy, built inside a renewables group

Solar and battery storage projects run on evidence: inspection and test records for every package, plant on remote sites and a data room for every acquisition. The William Hynes Group builds, acquires and manages these assets, and we built the software its teams run on. Nobody arrives knowing your projects better: renewable energy and utilities businesses get the same proven systems, fitted to their own sites.

Our sister companies build, acquire, supply and manage solar and battery storage assets across the UK and Ireland. The site systems run on William Hynes Energistics projects, and the acquisition workspace runs for WillBe Energy.

  • We hold a library of 74 inspection and test plan templates for solar and battery storage work, with hold, witness and review points, which you can edit or extend.
  • A library of over 100 report and record templates covers daily diaries, inspection registers, hold and witness points, non-conformances, snag lists, photo packs and client handover packs, as spreadsheets or branded PDFs.
  • Every machine carries a QR label. The operator scans it with their own phone, with no app to install, completes the pre-use check and takes photos, and a defect that stops use tags the machine DO NOT USE straight away.
  • A health, safety and environment module holds the incident register (with a RIDDOR flag and root-cause prompts), scored inspections, corrective actions and a safety dashboard.
  • Solar and battery storage acquisitions are assessed in one private workspace: an indexed data room, facts traced to their source, a live register across every workstream and a priced offer.

We start where your evidence is thinnest, usually quality records at handover or the data room before a sale. Because we built these systems for our own projects, we arrive knowing what an inspection and test plan, a handover pack or a due diligence register needs to contain, and we spend the first weeks fitting them to your specifications rather than learning the trade.
